Born into servitude, sold into a life of leisure that she could never even hope to fit within. Miwa is a recently revamped character that I'm happy to go any route, darker or not. 💮Personality

Miwa may look the picture of a yamato nadeshiko, a Japanese term meaning the "personification of an idealized Japanese woman', or "the epitome of pure, feminine beauty". But she's got quite the way to go to fit the part in other ways. The small Xeala is skittish, quiet and overly timid. She often seems very uncomfortable around people, working very hard to fit a role that she's nothing but a fraud in. She very much seems to be a doll in a large dollhouse, simply there to be a pretty ornament. She leads a lonely life, even though she's cherished by those around her. Separated by a cast system that was upended in the wildest of ways.

Features: Very thin, frail. Almost sickly so, but she hides it well and strongly holds steadfast to a professional air about her... albeit a slightly spacy, preoccupied one of an overworked scholar with their hands in one too many business ventures.
1-2 places they've been: Miwa lived within the scullery of Doma castle until it's fall, being sold as a young bride to a Doman nobleman who was a Garlean sympathizer. She's not been far from his residence, Miwa has never set foot outside of the capitol.
Main job: Conjury/Geomancy.
Secondary job: Miwa has stunning handicraft works, but no real job before becoming lady of a house that she'd been ill-prepared for.
Hobbies: Miwa has a natural affinity for botany, so she practices it often. Anything outside in the open air. From never once seeing the sky before the castle fell, Miwa does anything outside. She weaves silk, and excels in tailoring.
Something they enjoy doing: Before being married, Miwa wasn't literate. Now that she's been schooled by the staff, she takes pleasure in reading works of fiction.
1-2 personality traits: Reserved, timid, bashful, scared, skittish, curious, kind and thoughtful.
Faults: As Miwa was born into servitude, she's socially stunted. Being thrust into an opposing position, Miwa very often is unable to make decisions. She's unsure of herself, and can't commit to things unless another orders or urges her to do so.
Something they dislike: People outside of the house staff, pork and greasy foods. Traveling.
Short term goal: Secretly, Miwa wishes to speak to people normally. Where she isn't the servant or the master, where she doesn't feel she's always failing at both.
Long term goal: To read over 100 novels, and go out to the market herself to purchase them as well.

"Miwa" in Chinese can be written as "三和" (Sān Hé), which literally translates to "three harmony" - "三" meaning three and "和" meaning harmony; however, depending on the intended meaning, other combinations like "美和" (Měi Hé) - meaning "beautiful harmony" - could also be used.

💮A little History

Being born as a slave in Doman castle while it was under the control of Garlemald was common even before the occupation as well as during. Slaves and servants were best melded without knowledge of anything more than the four walls around them to keep them in line. Just as, the only language anyone is allowed to know or speak is Doman. Save Au'ra learning and outdistancing sign language until their horns grew in.She was illiterate, and was kept in one of the safest places in the castle scullery for the entire duration. All forms of weaving, mending, the making of dyes, tapestries, clothing and the like... she was relatively safe so long as she never caught the eyes of anyone from the outside. The possibility that young girls were to be taken as courtesans were high, and happened often. But she was so small, and normally kept hidden by the other women who’d all had already served their time in the bedrooms, halls, nooks and crannies of the castle in service of whatever man wanted them. And was assigned to the finer detailed tasks, keeping Miwa relatively safe until the fall of Doma castle.As both Ala Mhigo and Doma were liberated essentially together, the madam of the scullery escaped with those that she could. Displacing her girls, selling them off or finding work for them. Making profit one last time before stealing away herself.Miwa was sold to an old, gnarled and crippled man. It was either a horrid fate, or one last boon the madam was able to give to the small Xaela. For he died not a year later, leaving Miwa both untouched and with a manor all to herself. She's been schooled, and even practicing healing magics within. Anything else happening within those halls? Why not come and find out?

Oh yeah, I'm a simp for romance and such. This can blossom into wonderful things, I also don't mind going a darker route. Either way, a female isn't capable of keeping land and all the holdings of the estate for long. That, and a prior slave isn't a capable person to begin with. Ideas of your own!
Have any ideas of your own? Above are things that I don't mind putting out there to use and spark something fun. But I'm open to building something for everyone to have fun. That, and since Miwa has just been revamped I'd not made too much to tie her down. I'm open to changing aspects of her situation so that nearly anything/any character could fit.

An unfit lady
It's no secret that the lady of the manor was once a slave. With all the prior lords wives and concubines having perished or fled, the estate is left in incapable hands. With Doma being rebuilt, and with who the lord was...Garlean sympathizer
The prior lord was a Garlean sympathizer, keeping his estate intact and aiding some of the most horrid of people to decimate all that Doma once was. There's nothing but hard feelings towards any and all within said estate even now.

Hello there! I've been roleplaying for nearly two decades and in FFXIV since Heavensward, going from other games to tabletop campaigns. I've a love for creative writing, and am excited to see where the story can take us!
The information on this carrd is intentionally sparse so it's not a huge info dump. Want to know more? Try some RP! Just don't be surprised if she's no more forthcoming than what you see here at first.
I prefer RP in-game, but I may be willing to write via Discord if a scene is in a place not easily represented in-game, involves a significant number of NPCs, is a GM'd plotline event, etc. And while this character is off the table for some things, feel free to reach out to me for other characters and ideas!

I do not speak about Mare, mods or anything against ToS in game directly. No matter what chat it's in. Please ask for my Discord if you wish to broach that topic. Yes, I do use mods. Not many, save maybe clothing or hair that in game items wouldn't represent well for my character.I am not interested in writing with male Viera. This is a personal preference, and non-negotiable. Same with not wanting to broach more modern themes, including Solution 9 or the likes. It is your choice to enjoy the game in your own way, and I'll not step in the way of that. Please don't trample over my wishes because yours differ. I also do not wish to do NSFW writing with females, Miqo'te or Lalafell. Outside of real life, I choose to keep my characters hetero/monogamous. No poly or open relationships. And last but not least, overly modded characters that don't look to be a part of this game or world, to include disproportionate characters. I prefer realism.
